On the French Side our favorite is the Super U in Hope Estates:  usually a good selection of fresh produce, meats, and French wines as well as dry goods and personal care.   There are also some excellent wine and specialty stores in the Hope Estates Shopping Area.

On the Dutch side the 3 we use most are the Carrefour on Bush Road, The Carrefour in Cole Bay and the Cost-U-Less (island Costco).   Check internet for hours.   Also The Market Garden in Simpson Bay is open all day Sunday.

Beer and Alcohol is less expensive on the Dutch side and with a better selection of international wines. 

Bread  and Butter  located in Oyster Pond / next to OASIS restraunt carries a selection of food items, alcohol, ice and personal effects - as well as excellent pastries and baguettes 

Super 2.3 Market is a nearby local supermarket with an excellent selection and parking - located just past the MacDonalds roundabout and usually open 8am - 8pm 7 days a week,

Sint Maarten's Duty Free status and absence of Red Tape for importing goods offers a wide selection of  cosmetics, jewelry, liquors, cigars, electronics and much more.  Philipsburg is the prime shopping area on  the Dutch Side along the boardwalk, Front and Back streets.   Easy parkkng can be found @Bobby's Marina for $1/hour.  There are also many restaurants to have a quick bite and  even beach chair rentals on Great Bay.  Be advised that when Cruise Ships are  in, especially during high season, town can be quite busy.   Consult  the internet for Cruise Ship dockings if you want to avoid the crowds. 

Marigot is  a centre for shopping on the French centre side:  from high end boutiques to the Marigot Market  along the waterfront you can find a wide range of products.  The Marigot  Market also sells produce and fresh fish, but get there early for the days’ catch.   Lots of parking in Marigot along the main streets but you may have to hunt for a while.
