Things to Do in SXM


So many options, so many day trips, so many sights !!!!  These are just a few of our favorites that we have visited over the years.

Casinos - many many casinos too many to list - one of our favourites is Casino Royale in Maho - is well lit, easy to access and many machines - have lunch or dinner in Maho as well and make a day of it - also check out the Casino at Port Plaisance with restraunts on site - lots of easy parking.

Fort St Louis - built starting in 1789  to defend French interests on the Island and Marigot - its a long stairway but easy walk up and a excellent view of Marigot Harbor and Marina and photo o

Fort Amsterdam - construction started in 1631 to defend Dutch interests on the island - has changed hands many times over the years - park in Little Divi resort and enjoy the beach and restaurant there as well

Loterie Farm with an excellent pool to lounge by, restaurant and nature walks a great days getaway !!

Marigot Market check out the many vendors and restaurants in the french side capital, walk along the waterfront and check out the marina

Parotte Ville Bird Sanctuary feed 100s of different parrots etc. from a feeder in your hand - an amazing sight and experience - entrance fee is very reasonable and its close to the villa

Sunset Grill / Planes landing in Maho the iconic site of planes landing 50 feet above your head - go in the afternoon for the best chance and photo ops, Sunset Grill offers a great bar and view of planes also - and tells you when they are landing !!

RainForest Adventure park - the highest Zipline in the world - and an amazing view all around - take the chair gondola up - and down if you wish - located on Emilio's estate - and a great photo op from the top !!

Seaside Nature Preserve - ride horses into the water or walk the park 

Toppers Rum Distillery check out the rum tasteings and the many varieties,  have launch overlooking the marina and see the mega yachts

Tru Davide  / Devil's Hole a beautiful natural wonder - its a bit of a rough drive in and a walk but well worth it

Wander Route Coastal Trail between Guyana  Bay and Pelican - some parking on both ends - the trail is a bit narrow but boasts a beautiful view of St Barts 

Yoda Guy Movie Exhibit - unique and not to be missed a museum built and operated by a props maker of Star Wars fame - original movie props and items
